It's the end of week four and, unfortunately, some teams across the mid-west have had worked delayed because of the polar vortex. Kasson-Mantorville had four snow days this week, which prevented the team from making much progress on the robot; but deadlines still apply and the robot has to be bagged and tagged on February 19th, 2019. This Thursday, the Otternauts met despite the weather and luckily enough one of our team members developed and worked on the mechanism we will use to place cargo and hatches on the rocket. He met with a few other team members today and that team will be improving this mechanism to perfect it as much as possible. The group working on the system to climb levels has been adapting the ball screw system to the robot. Also another group has started the much needed bumpers.
The Otternauts are working to can catch up on the missed days, and hopefully the weather will continue improve.Back to blog
